Now in its 26th year, Atlanta's Día de Muertos festival welcomes around 15,000 visitors to Historic Oakland Cemetery for an afternoon of live music and dance, traditional Mexican food, artisan markets, and a display of altars honoring loved ones who have passed.
Presented by the Institute of Mexican Culture in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta and the Historic Oakland Foundation.

A limited number of mausoleums are available for participants to build traditional ofrendas in honor of loved ones who have passed. Altars are one of the most visited parts of the festival, and each one becomes part of how our community remembers together.
How to participate
Please note: Historic Oakland is a historic site. Open flame, adhesives, nails, and anything that could mark or damage the structures are not permitted. Full guidelines are shared with accepted participants.

We are accepting applications from food vendors and artisans who want to share their work with a diverse audience of roughly 15,000 visitors.
Food vendors — traditional Mexican cuisine, regional specialties, antojitos, pan dulce, aguas frescas, and festival fare.
